I saw this tweet on my timeline and I was floored. I even googled “Cebu” to check if it meant anything other than the lovely city in the Philippines. It didn’t mean anything else besides that so I immediately called Kathy at the Neiman Marcus Tysons Galleria. She told me that the Cebu Lip Creme is a counter exclusive and is developed by the product specialist at NM Tysons, Lisa Corsino. Like myself, Lisa is also a Filipina. Although we came from different provinces, I know why she named it after her beautiful and historical hometown.
According to Lisa (via email)…
I am very excited to present Cebu Lip Creme, Le Metier de Beaute’s new lipgloss exclusive at Neiman Marcus Tysons Galleria.
I was inspired to name Cebu Lipgloss from one of the 7,107 islands of the Philippines, particularly in the region where I’m from. It is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the Philippines. Cebu is known for it’s modern city, countless white sand beaches, and historical sites. The Cebu lipgloss evokes the warmth and beauty of this exotic island.

It is a very lovely pink, right off the package I know I will love this color and I was right. It is the perfect shade of pink with bronze micro shimmers. For me, it applies very frosty but after a few seconds it settles down into this warm pinky glow on my lips. I’m not good at describing colors whether their are blue based, yellow based, etc etc etc so I will just show you pictures.
I have to say, this is my favorite lip color. I love my nudes, browny nudes, pinky nudes and I rarely wear pink but this shade with this particular shimmer it’s like it was custom-made for me. I love it!
