We went to Burbank’s AMC 16 to watch Captain America. They use to allow outside food but this has long been banned when they introduced more food amd drink choices into their menu. Because I was feeling a little sluggish I ordered a White Chocolate Espresso Blender.
And this is what I got. Anybody can tell just by looking at it that it does not have a decent amount of coffee in it. I spent a good amount of time “debating” with the unnamed employee trying to explain to him that espresso blenders should have espresso in them. He was arguing that he’s just doing the directions and that there’s nothing else he can do. He said if I want coffee that he’ll just add coffee. I don’t want him to JUST add coffee because that’s what I wanted. I wanted him to follow directions and do the right thing instead of insisting that he, the EMPLOYEE, is RIGHT and that I, the CUSTOMER, is WRONG. I told him to go get his superior. The supervisor arrived and one look at my poor drink, he said it does not look right. Ha! I definitely know my coffee. It’s a big possibility that I’ve been a coffee drinker longer than his years.
Finally I got what I needed. Thank you to the supervisor who saved my sanity. And to the dear employee, you are in the service industry where the mantra is “the customer is always right”. Please don’t argue. There are menus that should be followed, cheat sheets to refer to. And if all fails call your superior. Thank goodness we jist had lunch, can you imagine my wrath if I was hungry and needing caffeine? I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.
